The wings

As part of our ongoing community service initiatives, the NSS unit organized a Pothichor Distribution Programme on October 8 at the Poovatur Family Health Centre. The event reflected the spirit of selfless service and humanity that lies at the heart of NSS. The volunteers enthusiastically prepared and packed traditional meals wrapped in banana leaves (pothichor) with the aim of supporting patients and their attendants at the centre. The initiative reflected the NSS spirit of service and teamwork, as students worked together to ensure every packet was distributed with care and compassion. The programme created a sense of joy and satisfaction among the volunteers as they experienced the value of sharing and empathy. The staff and patients at the health centre expressed their appreciation for the thoughtful gesture. This activity not only helped those in need but also strengthened the volunteers’ understanding of the NSS motto — “Not Me, But You.”

On 20th March 2025, the College Union of Sri Vidyadhiraja Model College of Teacher Education, Vendar, Kottarakkara, proudly hosted the eagerly awaited Drama Fest 2K25 at the Seminar Hall, commencing at 10:00 a.m. The event was a vibrant celebration of theatrical art, creativity, and the diverse talents of students. The fest was inaugurated by Sri Gautham Krishna, Manager of SVMCTE, followed by the presidential address from Dr. Lalamani P, the Principal, who emphasized the role of arts in education and cultural enrichment. DIGITAL ALBUM

During my first week of teaching practice with Class 8E, I had the opportunity to understand not only the students but also the overall school environment. The warm and supportive atmosphere of the school helped me adjust quickly, while the curiosity and enthusiasm of the students encouraged me to give my best. I observed how classroom dynamics, discipline, and interaction shape the learning process, and I realized the importance of adapting my methods to the needs of the learners. This week gave me valuable insights into both teaching and the school culture, boosting my confidence for the coming weeks.
