SCHOOL INDUCTION
"The School Induction Program at SVMHSS, Vendar was held from November 28 to December 2, providing new students and teachers with a comprehensive introduction to the school environment, routines, and responsibilities. The program was designed to help participants acclimate to school life by familiarizing them with the campus, schedules, and rules. Activities included guided tours of the school, interactive orientation sessions, and discussions on the school’s vision and values. As part of the program, participants learned about essential duties such as meal duty and class duty, which foster a sense of responsibility and teamwork. This hands-on approach helped participants understand how daily routines contribute to a smooth school functioning.
We observed the physical infrastructure of the school, including the student-maintained vegetable garden, and took note of the school’s active participation in NSS, NCC, and other co-curricular activities. We served mid- day meal to the students.The school’s consistent achievements in academic and extracurricular competitions at sub-district and state levels were also highlighted. A key component of the program was attending demonstration classes conducted by experienced teachers, which provided us with valuable insights into teaching strategies, student engagement, and classroom management. Interactions with the principal and staff were highly informative and supportive, helping us to gather comprehensive information. Overall, the School Induction Program was a meaningful and enjoyable experience that enhanced our understanding of school operations and strengthened our preparedness for the teaching profession.
The induction program also emphasized knowing the school’s facilities, such as the library, laboratories, and playground, enabling new members to adapt quickly and confidently. Overall, the program successfully blended orientation with practical experience, ensuring a smooth transition into school life."
