A program was organized by the Kerala Cricket League (KCL) in association with Federal Bank on August 11. It included a promotion activity and a campaign against drug abuse, with the Aries Kollam Sailors team present. They conducted engaging activities for the students as part of both their promotion and the campaign. It was truly a memorable experience.
A book fair was conducted by National books and publishers on August 12 and it was a wonderful experience. The event featured a vast collection of books, giving students the opportunity to browse and purchase their favourites. Teachers also bought some books, making the fair an enriching experience for everyone.Practice session of independence day held.13 August

14 August
On 14th, I conducted a school-based activity on magazine making with students, focusing on the theme “Freedom”. The activity encouraged students to express their thoughts creatively through articles, poems, and drawings, allowing them to explore and celebrate the concept of freedom in diverse ways. It was an engaging experience that promoted teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking, while also helping students connect with the idea of freedom on a personal and social level.
Kakarasi Nadagam—a traditional folk performance known for its engaging and thought-provoking style—was staged in the school courtyard. The performance aimed to create awareness about AIDS and HIV, highlighting the importance of prevention, education, and compassion towards those affected. Through lively dialogues, expressive acting, and captivating music, the performers successfully conveyed vital messages in a manner that resonated with both students and teachers.
August 15
Despite the challenging weather, St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Kizhakkekara, celebrated Independence Day with great pride and enthusiasm. The event featured a variety of cultural programs organized by service units such as NSS, NCC, SPC, Scouts and Guides, and JRC. The school auditorium came alive with vibrant performances and activities, making the day truly memorable.
