CLEANING AT KOTTARAKKARA AS A PART OF NSS AND KOTTARAKKARA CLEANING MISSION ON 27TH SEPTEMBER 2024.

‘A SOUND MIND IS IN A SOUND BODY IN A SOUND ENVIRONMENT'

On 27th September 2024, the NSS unit actively participated in the Kottarakkara Cleaning Mission, joining hands with the local community to promote cleanliness and environmental responsibility. Volunteers enthusiastically took part in the drive, focusing on cleaning public spaces, removing waste, and spreading awareness about hygiene and sustainable living.

The program was not just about physical cleaning but also about inspiring people to maintain cleanliness as a habit and a collective responsibility. Through teamwork and dedication, the NSS volunteers contributed to making Kottarakkara a cleaner and healthier place. The initiative truly reflected the NSS motto, “Not Me, But You”, encouraging service for the well-being of society.
A sound mind is in a sound body in a sound environment.’ Every person must possess a healthy 

mind: to have a healthy mind one must have a healthy physique. Healthy persons could alone make a 

healthy society. It is our duty that maintain our surroundings clean.Participating in the cleaning mission was a meaningful experience for me. It gave me a sense of responsibility towards my surroundings and made me realize the power of collective effort in bringing visible change. Working alongside fellow volunteers taught me the importance of teamwork, discipline, and social commitment. More than just cleaning, it instilled in me the value of contributing selflessly for the betterment of the community. I felt proud to be a part of this mission, and it motivated me to continue practicing and promoting cleanliness in my daily life.
