NSS Day Celebration – 24 September 2024Umbrella Distribution at SVMLPS School, Areekal
On 24 September 2024, our college NSS unit proudly celebrated NSS Day with a meaningful act of service. To mark the occasion, the volunteers organized a distribution of umbrellas to the students of SVMLPS School, Areekal.
The program aimed at supporting young learners by providing them with a practical necessity, especially during the monsoon season. The children received the umbrellas with bright smiles, and their joy reflected the true spirit of NSS—Not Me, But You.
This simple yet thoughtful initiative not only protected the students from rain and sun but also symbolized the care, protection, and responsibility that NSS volunteers extend towards the community.
The celebration reminded us that NSS Day is not just about remembering the founding ideals of the National Service Scheme, but about putting those ideals into practice through selfless service, compassion, and social responsibility.
